Remembering Ryan Davis

Ryan DavisRyan Davis, co-founder of Giant Bomb, passed away at the age of 34 on July 3, 2013.

It’s amazing how well you get to know someone simply by listening. I’ve been a long time listener of the Giant Bombcast, even watching content on Every week I tune in to hear the antics of Ryan, Jeff, Brad, Vinny, and Patrick, whether it was about video games or shower heads that spit out spaghetti. Nothing made me happier than hearing Ryan, in the energetic way he does, yell “It’s Tuuuesday!”

Ryan was a source of structure and and a source of humor on the Bombcast, keeping the jokes going and, when necessary, keeping the podcast going. He loved to have fun, enjoyed the finer things in life, like scotch and web domains (see: There is no amount of praise I can bestow upon the man that hasn’t already been said three-fold on The website is covered in Ryan stories and photos, so take a moment to laugh at and remember all the silly stories and photos: he would’ve expected it.

The video game industry, the podcasting community, and the world have all lost a stellar human being. Ryan, you will be sorely missed.
