Early in March, the trailer for Killer Is Dead was uploaded online for everyone to see the latest action game by surreal game director, Goichi Suda (or Suda51, as he’s commonly referred to). Now an English version of that trailer has gone live, giving North American viewers a better look at the upcoming action game. Published in America by XSEED and developed by Grasshopper Manufacture, Killer Is Dead is a return to form from Suda51’s stylized assassin games like Killer7 and No More Heroes, than the equally violent, but playfully satirical Lollipop Chainsaw. Players will take control of Mondo Zappa, an “executioner” armed with a Japanese sword and a robotic arm, who’s hired to take out the world’s most dangerous criminals and assassins.
Incidentally, XSEED has launched an official Killer Is Dead Facebook and are taking questions from fans for Suda51 to later answer. Killer Is Dead is scheduled this summer for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. There’s no sign if the game will also hit next-gen consoles, but Suda51 will likely have a new project for the Playstation 4, given how the new Sony system made him feel funny in his pants.
