The life of a Mudokon is not an easy one. Just ask Abe, the star of the quirky and thought-provoking Oddworld games by Lorne Lanning. In addition to being hunted by Rupture Farms, Abe has now been denied entry to Sony’s PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, despite rigorous efforts by Oddworld Inhabitants and Just Add Water to put him there. According to Steward Gilray, CEO of Just Add Water, the DLC featuring the Mudokon savior was scheduled for April or May. However, the DLC is cancelled presumably because Sony cut all ties with SuperBot Entertainment, the developers PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, over poor sales and mixed reception of the game. SuperBot Entertainment was also forced to layoff employees, due to their now broken relationship with Sony.
While Oddworld fans will surely be disappointed with this news, they still have the high-definition remake of Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee to look forward to this fall. A public poll by Just Add Water also revealed support for a HD remake of Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus.
